ITS Slovakia

ITS Slovakia Association was established as a non profitable company in the year 2000. With the goal to hep the public sector to explain and deploy the problems of Intelligent Transport Systems into the Slovak economy. Nowadays the ITS Slovakia Association is accepted by public and private sector and it creates a bridge for mutual exchanges of opinions and solutions in the strategy of transport development n Slovakia.

The first task of ITA Association was the strategic document of ITS System Architecture in 2002 for the Ministry of Transport. The second important document for ITS was the National Strategy Plan from 2002 for conditions of SR. This document should to be declaratively approved by the Slovak Government but up to these days has not been become.

The ITS Association is a partner of several public, research and university institutions. The association is attending as well on development projects of EU as on domestic research and deployment fields of ITS activities. On the international projects the association deals the common problems of advanced transport systems with parallel partners and daughters companies in EU. The agile works are oriented to the translations of CEN and ISO standards to Slovak language in cooperation of Slovak Standards Institute, where bz the technical comitee of Roads is a subcommittee of ITS.
